Some tractors have the required horsepower to operate a backhoe but do not have the structural strength to handle the stresses a backhoe will place on the tractor frame. To solve that problem, a backhoe subframe is required to strengthen and distribute the stress more evenly along the entire frame. Bush Hog makes every effort to offer subframes that fit correctly. However, it may be necessary to modify the subframe at the time of installation due to ongoing tractor manufacturer design changes.
